The beverage can plant in Vietnam in which Crown is buying a controlling share uses a line formerly installed in Taiwan. rnCrown is market leader in beverage can manufacturing in Vietnam with its 2bn-can-year factory at Ho Chi Minh City, a joint-venture operation with local drinks producer Sabeco, which also set up its own beverage can plant last year. rnIn January Crown made an offer to buy a 70-percent share of Interfood Packaging Sharehold- rning Co, the spun off packaging division of food and drink group Interfood Holding.
