Nestle opens integrated food plant in Dubai

Food giant Nestle has officially opened its US$136m manufacturing plant at Dubai in United Arab Emirates. The 515,000 sq ft facility, which will be Nestle's third-largest Kit Kat production site, also includes canning lines for the company's infant formula brands, including Nido Milk, and bottling lines for Nestle Pure Life water. Located in Dubai's TechnoPark, the plant currently employs 555 and is the first to be built by Nestle in the region for more than a decade. "With such a facility we will be able to meet the fast rising regional demand and eventual- ly contemplate exporting to other regions.
