SC Johnson to acquire Kiwi shoe polish

Kiwi, the iconic canned polish that's cleaned shoes for more than a century, is to be bought by SC Johnson from Sara Lee Corporation, for €245 million (US$328m). US-based SC Johnson, the owner of home cleaning brands such as Glade, Pledge and Mr Muscle, has made a binding offer for Sara Lee's global shoe care business that also includes the Kiwi Kleen, Melto-nian, Bama and Tana brands.
