The market for lightweight aluminium beer bottles in North America is expected to be given a boost when world-leading brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev starts up its own production line next year.The St Louis, Missouri-based brewer has for many years been promoting its-premium beers with tall 16oz (1 US pint or 47.3cl) aluminium bottles. But while beautifully decorated they are made using impact-extrusion techniques which means that they weigh in at 50g each and cost more than three times that of an equivalent beverage can.
