Cold weather in the first half of 2013 impacted UK beer and beverage can fillings, but the warm summer is set to give the can-making industry a boost, says industry body The Can Makers. Total beverage can fillings slipped by 2.7 percent to 4.57 billion, said the organisation which represents the interests of Ball, Crown and Rexam, with non-standard can sizes offsetting declining volumes.
