Increase inker life with decorator upgrade

An upgrade kit which increases the life of the shafts and bearings of Rutherford decorators has been developed by Stolle Machinery.The kit, for the Rutherford ink station, consists of a new front bearing and housing, seals and bearing retainer, and enables the operator to adjust and set the plate cylinder shaft alignment.By allowing the plate cylinder alignment to be adjusted while keeping the inker frames square and locked in position, and the housing to be adjusted in the bore in the centre frame and pinned once the final settings are reached, the correct shaft alignment through the three frames is maintained.
