Dutch-based Canlines has found that with its work on setting up mass conveyors for Baosteel Packaging's new beverage can plants in China, simplification of its designs helped with ease of installation. Karel Broerse, president of Canlines, found that modular assembly made a huge difference. "With our modular mass conveyors there's no need to bolt everything together on site," he said. "Our earlier six by 1.2 metre units needed 250 bolts.
