Powder coatings for side-stripe weld repair applications are now being produced in China by AkzoNobel. The special powder-based coatings are used for protecting the weld on three-piece tinplate can bodies. They are amongst a range of AkzoNobel coatings product applications, including two-piece beverage cans, which are being promoted by the company.
