Easy operation from easy-open end press

Italian company GM Technologies has launched a three-out food can easy-open end conversion press with a range of convenience features. The company recently delivered its Cerberus 450 system to a customer, fea-turing technology developed by GM Technologies on a secondhand PM3 100 QL Minster press. The three-out press operates at 500 strokes per minute, producing 300-diameter tinplate easy-open ends, and mounts the GM2 tab on the ends - a 0.25mm-thickness tab manufactured from DR material. Trials for a 0.23mm-thickness tab are currently in progress, says the company.
