Ardagh's beverage can plants in the US named

The beverage can plants in the US that are required to be divested as part of Ball Corporation's US$6.6 billion acquisition of Rexam have been identified. The seven can body plants and one end plant will be sold to Ardagh Group to meet the terms of the US anti-trust authorities. They are part of the $3.42 billion deal announced at the end of April that includes plants in Europe and Brazil. The plants in Europe and South America being bought by Ardagh were detailed when approval for the deal was announced at the end of April. With total capacity to make 15.5 billion cans a year the US plants represent about 17 percent of domestic beverage can production.
