Hormel Foods posts record Q3 sales

The maker of Spam canned luncheon meat has reported the best-ever third quarter sales, prompting it to raise estimates for the remainder of the year. Sales at Hormel Foods, based in Austin, Minnesota, increased by more than 20 per cent to US$2.9 billion in the three months to 25 July, compared with the same period a year earlier, and by 25 per cent compared with 2019 before the Covid-19 pandemic.
