Upgrades to can conveyance to stay ahead technologically

Can handling specialist Pride Conveyance Systems has upgraded its equipment to stay at the forefront of technological advances and reduce energy consumption. The upgrades include changes to the quick-change gravity track, conveyance and gripper elevators, and jackscrew assemblies for height changes. The developments are in response to the increasing popularity of speciality containers, lighter cans, faster line speeds and reduced changeover times. Another key upgrade is to the Air Doubling Box. Improvements include: flatter decks to accommodate lighter and smaller-diameter cans; improved repeatability and quality control through design; and easy change out decks. There is also an improved waterfall to deck interface with elimination of the traditional 'bard's beak'; improved plenum to frame mounting hardware; and the same footprint as direct upgrade replacement. No other conveying changes are required.
