Global beverage giant Coca-Cola plans to start packing its Dasani water brand in cans and aluminium bottles in the US as part of a move to reduce the impact of its waste packaging, particularly plastics. The move follows the launch by PepsiCo of its Aquafina branded water in cans. In support of The Coca-Cola Company's global World Without Waste' programme to make its bottles and cans with an average of 50 per cent recycled material by 2030, the changes to Dasani's packaging line-up are designed to reduce plastics waste and increase the use of recycled and renewable materials in the US, while ensuring that all Dasani bottles continue to be fully recyclable.
