Ball to sell aerosol plants in Argentina

Argentine canmaker Envases del Plata has agreed to buy Ball Corporation's two plants that make tinplate aerosol cans in the South American country. Ball will now concentrate on its worldwide aluminium aerosol can and slug business from its eight plants located in Canada, Czech Republic, France, India, Mexico, the UK and the US, headed up by general manager Stan Platek. Ball's two plants at Garin and San Luis will augment Envases del Plata's three aluminium aerosol can plants at Buenos Aires and San Luis in Argentina, and in Colombia.
