A new feature of the range of cans and end metrology systems offered by Sencon is Virtual Sectioning, which uses the company's non-contact measuring processes to show the profile of an end in section. The process eliminates the need for laborious physical profiling, in which laboratory staff encapsulate the end in resin, cut it in half then polish the cut edge to enable curves and features to be viewed and measured.
