In 2012, member Richard Mort attended an exhibition at the Stanley & Audrey Burton Gallery at the University of Leeds, UK. It was called 'Pip Dickens: New Works'. The exhibition was linked to a collection of Kashmir shawls on show at the University of Leeds International Textile Archive which was timed to coincide with the Pip Dickens exhibition. Richard took this conception of the Kashmir shawl and gave it his own interpretation concentrating on the aspect of multi-colour design and construction and applied a very Fauvist handwriting to it.
