Rennovia, which produces novel catalysts and processes for the production of chemical products from renewable feedstocks, is in the process of integrating mini-plants to test the effectiveness of its latest bio-based solutions. According to Dr Gary Diamond, vice-president of product development at Rennovia, the company has successfully demonstrated the production of hexamethylenediamine (HMD) from widely available, renewable feedstocks, such as glucose.
