Indo Rama's Thai jv to invest in PTA project to feed group's polyester needs

Indo Rama, leading Indian joint venture in Thailand, will invest US$ 384.6 million in a project to manufacture purified terephthalic acid (PTA) here. Indo Rama Petrochem, a subsidiary of the Indo Rama group, which will produce the PTA, will ship the product mainly to other polyester manufacturers within the group in Asia. Indo Rama has operations in India, Indonesia, United States, Turkey, Sri Lanka and Lithuania. The group has diversified its products like PET resin, polyester yarn preform bottle and plastic bottle caps.
