Chinese Textile Machinery Delegation has close interaction with Indian Textile Industry

In spite of China and India being competitors in the textile field and rivals in the global market for textiles and clothing, there are also moves for cooperation for mutual benefit that both sides and the Governments have been talking and expressing keenness about, which has to take some concrete shape. Meanwhile, closer relations are being forged between the textile and textile machinery industries of the two countries. Against this background, a Chinese textile machinery delegation, comprising members of the Chinese textile conglomerate Hengtian's overseas trading arm, China Texmatech Co. Ltd., came on a six-day visit to India in mid-July on the invitation of the Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council. The delegation was headed by Mr. Liu Haitao, Vice-Chairman of the Hengtian Group Company. The delegation showcased its range of textile machinery across India's major textile centres - Coimbatore, Mumbai and Delhi.
