A Review of the Performance of Textile Engineering Industry during 2005-2006

With the acceleration of the pace of investment by the textile industry as a consequence of the opening up of the global market from 2005, the demand for indigenous textile machinery continued to spurt during 2005-2006. The increased demand was prominently for the Preparatory and Spinning Machinery which consequently improved the demand for Weaving, Processing, Parts & Accessories sectors significantly. However, the Synthetic Processing Machinery Sector did not follow suit of the uptrend in demand due to various reasons.
