Canesis Textile Technology — Easy Care First for Wool

With funding from Australian Wool Innovation Ltd (AWI), Canesis textile technologists have developed a natural easy care pure wool shirting fabric which looks likely to be on retail shelves in China early in 2006. Research Leader, Dr Surinder Tandon, says: "Our new product displays all the performance features required of quality shirting fabrics, such as attractive appearance, light weight, excellent handle and drape and good stretch. It is also completely machine washable, which is where the real point of difference comes in.
