Textile parks in Vidarbha, Marathwada on the cards

The Textile Ministry will consider setting up textile parks at Vidarbha and Marathwada, the largest cotton growing regions in Maharashtra.rnResponding to the Chief Minister, Mr Ashok Chavan's request recently, the Union Textile Minister, Mr Dayanidhi Maran, said about seven textile parks were already in various stages of completion in Maharashtra. However, the Ministry would consider Vidarbha and Marathwada favourably.rnThe function was held to inaugurate three modernised textile mills of the national Textile Corporation (NTC) - Tata, Poddar and India United Mills No 5 - at an estimated cost of Rs 149 crore.
