Indian Textile Sector Gets Modernisation Boost from Union Budget 2013-2014

The Union Budget for 2013-2014 has given the Indian Textile Sector a modernisation boost. The Budget has continued the Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme (TUFS), for the textile sector in the 12th Plan with an investment target of Rs 151,000 crore. The major focus would be on modernisation of the powerloom sector. The Budget has provided Rs 2,400 crore in 2013-2014 Budget.
