MOTIVATION FOR IPv6

摘要

Challenges presented as a result of the exponential growth of Internet-connected devices and machine-to machine communications and the explosive growth and worldwide penetration of networks has hastened the exhaustion of IPv4 addresses, which is projected to survive till 2012 only. The only tangible solution in hand at the moment to tide over the crisis is the migration to IPv6 for address space resolution and co-existence for quite some time of IPv4 and IPv6.
