The National Association of Regulatory Utility Commissioners' Task Force on Intercarrier Compensation says it has received support from enough stakeholders to move forward with the industry proposal to reform intercarrier compensation (ICC). The plan, known as the "Missoula Plan," was drafted by a core group of telecom stakeholders, including carriers and telecom groups. Since the proposal is industry-created, it will continue to undergo negotiations and refinement by the involved parties at the same time it is being reviewed by the task force. The final proposal is expected to be released to the public sometime within the next several weeks.
