A new network neutrality resolution in the Cal. Senate would urge Congress, President Bush and other relevant federal authorities to push an 搊pen and interconnected?public Internet and encourage broadband competition and deployment. SJR-24 would urge federal authorities to adopt the principle that consumers are entitled to unfettered access to Internet content and to use the devices, applications and services of their choice. It also would urge federal policies promoting competition among vendors of broadband services, network applications and content.
