Genachowski Said to Seek Service Provider Support for Neutrality Rules Under Title I

FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski seems to prefer not to reclassify broadband transport as a ntelecom service and keep it as an information service, especially if that will win service nproviders' support for net neutrality rules. That's according to a high-ranking commission nofficial who has been briefed about recent meetings on the issue with interested companies nand organizations, and to other officials who have been represented at the meetings or have nbeen briefed. The chairman’s staff wants to roll out rules on net neutrality at the FCC meeting nrescheduled for Dec. 21, the officials said.
