Cox, NCTA Lobby FCC on Intercarrier Compensation

Cox Enterprises and the NCTA each had a meeting with FCC aides to lobby on nintercarrier compensation, ex parte filings show. Cox Policy Counsel Grace Koh said nshe met with eight Wireline Bureau officials, who “agreed that the right course of naction was to step down intrastate rates over a period of time and then step further ndown to bill-and-keep for traffic that was largely in balance." NCTA officials met nwith nine Wireline officials. NCTA officials said a goal should be to set “a uniform nrate for terminating traffic and a reasonable timeframe” for getting there.
