A senior Verizon executive said net neutrality rules aren't suitable for wireless broadband, because its traffic is too variable, the industry is competitive and fast-changing, and no network discrimination against applications has come up. "With wireline, we know there will be this connection in the home," Executive Vice President Tom Tauke said at the Aspen nForum. "It doesn't move. With wireless, all of a sudden people all gather in one place -- in Washington, D.C., they all gather on the mall, or there is a traffic jam. That creates a much different situation when it comes to running a network."
