The FCC’s Emergency Access Advisory Committee released a draft version of its nlong-awaited report on making 911 easier for people with disabilities to use. They should be nable to make emergency calls using devices they already use day to day, the committee nsaid. It filed the draft in response to an FCC notice of proposed rulemaking on short- and nlong-term options for enabling consumers to send text messages to 911. The committee is nworking on the final version.
