Spectrum legislation survived a House Communications Subcommittee markup in which nDemocrats and Republicans argued over many details. The subcommittee voted 17-6 to napprove the Republican draft bill with amendments. It would authorize voluntary incentive nauctions and give public safety the 700 MHz D-block and $6.5 billion for a national wireless nbroadband network.
