Sprint Wants to Combine Its Challenge to T-Mobile Sale With DOJ's

Sprint Nextel is competitive with AT&T and Verizon Wireless but is challenging the T-Mobile nsale to protect the backhaul, roaming and spectrum it needs, Sprint Senior Vice President nVonya McCann said on an episode of C-Span’s The Communicators that aired over the nweekend. Sprint filed a legal challenge on top of the Department of Justice’s lawsuit against nthe merger to make clear its unique concerns with the deal, McCann said. Sprint will seek to nhave its case combined with DOJ’s, she said. Meanwhile, attorneys general from seven states nannounced they are also joining the DOJ case.
