Delays in Releasing Results of Broadband Speed Tests Raise Industry Suspicions

The FCC has put off to early August releasing its first comprehensive study of broadband nspeeds, industry executives said. Thirteen companies have handed out thousands of black nboxes to their customers so researcher SamKnows can measure speeds and compare them nwith those advertised. The results have been trickling in through briefings to industry. ISPs nhave been told that early results of the speed tests showed companies were either coming nclose to or exceeding their advertised speeds.
