USTelecom objected to a draft FCC decision to freeze further grants of pricing flexibility as itnseeks information about special access. "We are concerned the commission’s freeze onnfurther grants of pricing flexibility will inject uncertainty into an economic environment thatnrequires predictability for long-term investment and job creation," said USTelecom PresidentnWalter McCormick. "We have long been supportive of a mandatory data request, but thendecision to suspend further price flexibility grants is perplexing given the repeated recentnacknowledgments from FCC staff that the complaining companies have failed to provide anyndata to support their claims."
