NTCA Asks FCC to Think Hard About Effects of USF Changes

The National Telecommunications Cooperative Association told an aide to FCC Chairman Julius Genachowski that it's still concerned about “the many questions still swirling” about carrying out changes made in fall 2011 regarding reimbursable capital costs through the USF, according to a filing. The association asked the commission to study, “through a data-driven process,” the effects of the changes on rural customers, “and the fundamental objectives of universal service.”
