The largest telecom companies — primarily AT&T and Verizon — “are having to build networkrninfrastructure to carry traffic for which they can’t charge adequately thus reducing their return on investment, while their base services (landline telephones) are disappearing,” said a new report by InformationrnGatekeepers. The report attempts to understand network traffic patterns, and provides “hard data trafficrnforecasts by all sources of traffic on the network,” said the publisher, IGI Group.
