An Iranian man was sentenced to 30 months in prison for conspiring to export satellite technology andnother goods from the U.S. to Iran. Seyed Ghorashi violated the International Emergency Economic Powers Act,nsaid the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York in a press release (http://1.usa.gov/1cUpGqN). Tonconceal the destination of the goods from the U.S. supplier, Ghorashi and his co-conspirators "arranged for thenitems to be shipped first to the United Arab Emirates and subsequently shipped to Iran," it said. Ghorashi alsonwas fined $100,000 and ordered to forfeit $54,000, it said.
