Imperial College establishes two tiers of support for academic inventors

All inventors are not created equal, nor do they all need the same level of support from their institutions. Recognition of that reality was one of the driving forces behind the creation of Founders Choice, a program recently launched by Imperial Innovations and Imperial College London that offers two different levels of support for inventors based on their past experience and, accordingly, how much assistance they require. The program allows the experienced founders who opt for less support to keep significantly more equity in their companies.
