Stockage Des dechets dangereux en centres collectifs en France: quels impacts SUP I'environnement ?

The professionals of the storage of dangerous waste in collective sites in France, organised within the FNADE (The National Federation for the depollution and environmental activities) decided, in partnership with the ADEME (The French Environmental Protection Agency), to evaluate the environmental impacts of this industrial activity in order to have an objective inventory of fixtures carried out according to an international normative reference frame via the methodology of Life Cycle Analysis (LCA). The LCA shows that the environmental impacts are overall minors compared to the other activities on a national scale for which public bibliographical data are available. It also made it possible to define strategies of improvement of the environmental performances of the French hazardous waste land-filling activity (partial substitution of the raw materials in the stabilization process by industrial by-products for example).
