The appearance of instability in the loop structure-propulsion, called POGO effect, is found nearly every liquid propellent launch vehicles. Intense study has been undertaken in many countries with an aim to reducing the amplitude of POGO effect or better still, eliminating it altogether. In the case of the ARIANE launcher, considerable attention has been devoted to the POGO phenomenon, right from program commencement. During the developpement of the ARIANE launcher, the elimination of the POGO effect was very successful.%Pojava nestabilnosti ciklusa struktura-pogonska grupa, nazvana efekt POGO, se sreće kod većine raketa koje upotrebljavaju tečno gorivo. Radovi na otklanjanju te pojave, koja je izvor vibracionih opterećenja rakete i njenog korisnog tereta, su bili objekat intenzivnih studija u mnogim zemljama. Tokom razvoja rakete-nosača satelita ARIANE pojava efekta POGO je otklonjena sa uspehom.
