Motion control technology for weaving machines for filter and dryer fabrics in paper production

The Juergens Maschinenbau GmbH, Emsdetten/Germany, has for some time now committed itself to construct special weaving machines for filter and dryer fabrics for paper-making. The changeover to a new control system based on Simotion C has now opened-up the doors to mechanically optimize their mechanical design. This was initially used for the JR-1 gripper weaving machine. This had a direct impact on the weaving performance that was increased by over 50 % - even before mechatronic measures were applied.
