For the production of fabrics for protective suits for the French army, Kermel Sas, Col-mar/France, has developed the m-aramid fiber type Kermel V50. The fabric is characterized by the softness of the Kermel fiber and the absorbency of the viscose FR. The Kermel fiber offers thermal insulation, and adapts to the conditions of summer. Kermel VMC40, which is specially intended for camouflage suits, is suitable for use in wet conditions and in winter temperatures. The material is flame-resistant and soft, and combines high stability with humidity regulation.
