The artificial turf market is highly dynamic and has shown high growth rates of 10 to 15% in the past. There are clear signs that this trend will continue. The use of artificial turf offers distinct economical advantages, including higher availability for use of sports grounds and protection of valuable water resources in the dry regions of the earth. The development of artificial turf has come very far in recent years and it now closely resembles natural grass. During this development, new yarns and constructions have been developed, which means the requirements on the processing machines have increased, too. These yarns can be economically single-twisted on Allma TCS two-for-one twisting machines with delivery speeds of up to 350 m/min and prepared for their further processing on the tufting machines.
