In Shanghai, Lenzing Instruments GmbH & Co. KG, Lenzing/Austria, will show testing systems, which includes a part of their product range for filament testing. For the online process control of synthetic filament yarns, the Prompt system (Fig.) offers the possibility of real time monitoring of vital process parameters. With the multifunction sensor MFS, Prompt yields continuous information about titer, evenness, interlace, broken filaments, yarn defects, yarn breaks, fluff and spin finish simultaneously, eliminating the need of using a different sensor for each parameter. The Prompt system also includes separate sensors for monitoring of spin finish (MEFS) and yarn tension (OLT). Especially for technical yarns, Prompt can be equipped with the new Fraytecplus sensor.
