Synthetic spider silk for sports apparel

On September 8, 2015, Spiber Inc., Yamaga-ta/Japan, and Goldwin Inc., Tokyo/Japan, entered into a business partnership in the field of sports apparel to promote development of new products making use of Spiber's high-performance next-generation material Qmonos, the world's first successfully-produced synthetic spider silk material. Goldwin markets The North Face, a leading outdoor apparel brand in Japan. The companies announced Moon Parka, a prototype developed as a joint research with The North Face, Inc, Alameda, CA/USA. Now, The North Face has displayed its finished Moon Parka at several exhibitions in Japan.
