Comprised of a total of 12 chapters, the book's first two chapters are introductory in nature and discuss the benefits of collection evaluation and lay out some approaches to evaluating a library collection. The author states that the audience is primarily academic librarians, but the material covered may also be of use to librarians in other environments.
