Burke divides this useful and informative text into five sections. The first section places library technology use in context and describes the results of his Web-based 2015 library technology skills survey that attempted to gain some insight into the regular technology tasks of library staff members. He provides a table identifying the most common technology skills reported by respondents, which include the expected skills of e-mail, word processing, using the library catalog and databases, downloadable and online eBooks, and extend to teaching and trouble-shooting technology, cloud-based storage, and online instructional materials, such as LibGuides and screencasts.
