The ALCTS Technical Services Workflow Efficiency Interest Group (TSWEIG) held its meeting at the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia. Co-chairs, Jesse A Lambertson and Gina Solares introduced the session's two presenters and moderated a Q&A period at the end. The two presentations focused on managing changes to shared workflows in cataloging and acquisitions. Jennifer Eustis' presentation, "Welcome to Your New Job: Streamlining Inherited Workflows & Processes," detailed her approach to refining inherited workflows. In addition to broad approaches, she focused on changes to batch record loading procedures at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Cara Calabrese's presentation, "The Evolving Workflow: Moving Streaming Video Acquisitions to a Mediated Model," highlighted what seemed to be a hot topic at this year's Midwinter meeting. Calabrese discussed how Miami University transitioned to a mediated model for licensing streaming content in light of budgetary constraints.
