Evaluating Your DPN Metadata Approach. A Report of the ALCTS PARS Preservation Metadata Interest Group Meeting

The ALCTS Preservation Metadata Interest Group (PMIG) met during the 2018 ALA Annual Conference on Saturday, June 23 with an attendance of 34 people. The program began with a short business meeting, followed by an introduction to the new co-chair elect, Ilda Cardenas (Mississippi State University), who will succeed Daniel H. Johnson (University of Iowa) in the next term 2018-2020. A presentation was delivered afterwards with a brief question and answer session. This year's program focused on the latest work performed by the Preservation Metadata Standards Working Group (DPN Working Group), a subgroup of the Digital Preservation Network (DPN), who was given the task to develop a core set of metadata standards to be used for all DPN deposits.
