The Association for Library Collections & Technical Services (ALCTS) Collection Management Section (CMS) Collection Development Librarians of Academic Libraries Interest Group hosted a session entitled, "Collaborating Ebook Collections: Lessons Learned & Best Practices" at the 2018 ALA Midwinter meeting. As libraries continue to both increase their e-book collections and seek better ways to collaborate for shared financial and workflow advantages, the session focused on how two large consortia, the Pennsylvania Academic Library Consortium, Inc. (PALCI) and the Orbis Cascade Alliance, have experimented with providing e-book access on a consortial scale. The panel included three speakers: 1. Serin Anderson, Collections and Budget Coordinator, University of Washington Tacoma, 2. Jill Emery, Collection Development and Management Librarian, Portland State University, 3. Jill Morris, Associate Director, PALCI.
